Home again and a To Do List!

My mind is super full!
I learned some interesting things at the conference and once again I have a To Do List that is insane. But I'm also working on it. I just finished publishing the last of the Kaylid Chronicles in German, so I'll keep working on getting those done in other languages. I'm thinking I'll do Dutch next. But I also am looking at what I need to finish.
Cori at Large: Relics is with the editor right now and I'm hoping to have new books to publish by January. Or at least I'm working on that. I should have a complete trilogy coming out, then I'll get back to work on some new worlds. I've been looking at what I'm writing and I want to get better, so we will see how that works.
Otherwise I have Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching and I hope that I can get everything done so I can enjoy some days off. Fingers don't fail me now!

"Safer than out there."
"That isn't a yes. So we are going to die?"
"Everyone dies."
"You know what I mean. Is the storm going to kill us?"
"The storm? Probably not."
"That isn't reassuring."
"What do you want me to say? You see what is happening. Are we safe now? Probably. When the damage is done and people are scared, hungry, and hurt? That is a much more concerning situation."
"You could have lied."
"Why? You wouldn't have believed me."
"I might have…. No. I know the truth. I guess I had hoped."
"Hoped what? That I could make it all better? I can't. If I could, I wouldn't be here with you."
"Thank you."
"For?"
"Being here. I know you want to be out there, helping, doing something."
"Yes, I want to. But no matter how rich I am, I can't fight nature. I can't fight what's coming."
"But together we can survive. If there is anything I'm good at, it is surviving."
"Yes, but what about them?"
"Them?"
"The people, the residents, the ones this storm is punishing more than any criminal ever could."
"Ah, them. Yours to protect?"
"Yes, dammit. Mine to protect."
"Then we help. When the lightning is done, the waters receded, we help. But I think this time, Bruce is the hero they need."
"Are you sure, Selena?"
"Aren't I always? We will help after."
"After."
