In with the new!
My Christmas was wonderful. I got some dead on gifts, and some cute sundresses for the summer. How was yours? Anyone get something that just blew them away? For me it was my Meater temperature probes. Now I'm going to elevate my smoking game.
Otherwise - tomorrow starts a new year. I've got my planner set up and I'm excited for all the new stories I get to write next year.
I hope that your year will be full of joy, laughter, abundance, and love. May all of us have a year we remember with smiles.

Lindsey hid in her fort looking at the new book. She wasn't supposed to get the big books from the bookcase, but this one had so many pretty pictures. She wanted to know what they were.
Carefully she turned each page entranced by the swirls of color and bright pinpoints of white. There were circles with so ver many colors on them, and she thought they rather looked like fancy Christmas ornaments.
"Lindsey? Where are you?" Her momma's voice called and Lindsey froze in her fort. Maybe momma wouldn't find her?
"Lindsey?" Before she could figure out where to hide the book, momma came crawling into her fort holding a flashlight. "What are you up to, munchkin?"
"Ummm…reading?"
"Oh?" Momma settled in next to her and Lindsey squinted, waiting for the scolding. "Ah, you got out the Hubble Telescope book."
Lindsey's head jerked up as momma smiled at her. "May I read it with you?"
Her smile spread across her face and Lindsey's head bounced up and down.
"Okay then, do you know what this is a picture of?" Lindsey shook her head in the negative, waiting. "This is Jupiter, it is a planet in our solar system. See, this big reddish swirl?" Momma's finger touched the picture. Lindsey leaned into her and smiled as momma lay in the fort with her and told her all the stories about the magic in the universe. This was a great way to end the Christmas holiday.
