Thanks for taking a moment to read my newsletter. I hope all is well with you. I know New Year's Day didn't magically make things better the way some of us secretly hoped. 2021, for many of us, is more of the same—a mix bag of blessings and curses.

I'm an optimist at heart, and I have good news to share with you today.

Jilted, my newest book, launched successfully on 1/12/21! 🎉

Jilted landed in the 50 top books on Amazon Kindle in it's category twice. For two weeks, my fantasy book stayed in the top 100.

Speaking of 100 ... I sold 100 ebook copies of Jilted in about 17 days! That beats my previous record of 100 ebooks sold in about 30 days. Growth.

It feels great to write a worthwhile story and then market that book well enough to see these results.

Us independent authors wear a lot of hats and there's a huge learning curve when it comes to novel writing, self publishing and book marketing. Each area requiring effort, time, and/or money.

On average, it takes authors about 6 months to write a new book. All we hope for is that our stories reach readers with open minds and hearts, and that those readers like our stories enough to recommend it to others.

I strive to improve with each book I write. Two years and five books later, I'm starting to see the fruits of my labor. Hurray! 🎉
