we're down to 3 can we get to 1?

Hi friends 👋,
I want to start by just saying thank you.
You signed up for this newsletter without any reason other than you're my friend. You're the best kind someone could have for that and I cannot thank you enough.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this, I am trying to start a business...
I want something on the side that I can try out.
My goal this time is unlike previous attempts (looking at you Warrior Beard Co and the flag business). This is meant to be more like an experiment, to try and see what resonates both with me but also with the marketplace.
Working through "Million Dollar Weekend" I generated well over two dozen ideas, many of which came from you.
If you've read the email this far you may be asking yourself, "okay what do you need from me?" and now I'm going to get to that!
I've gotten my list down to three ideas I'm most interested in and I want your help to tell me which you think would be the best.
Alright, here are the top 3 ideas I have:
- A hunting application reminder service that texts you with reminders
- A mailbox management service that will help clean and manage your inbox
- A tool for concealed carry holders who want to secure their firearm in a public restroom
I'm going to elaborate more on each of these below if you want more information. But if you just want to cast your vote, you can do it here.
Alright, let me explain the ideas a little further for those who care to know more
Hunting Application Reminder Service
One of the most frustrating aspects of hunting multiple states is managing hunting applications. Each state has different deadlines, costs, and systems.
For someone like me who invests a lot of time and energy into it, I still miss deadlines sometimes.
My idea is a service that will allow users to sign up and subscribe to specific states and species they want to apply for. Then the service will send them text reminders when the application period opens, one month before it ends, one week before it ends, and the last day they can apply.
Mailbox Management Service
I came across the service unroll.me the other day and thought it was a cool idea, plus it's free!
Then I read the fine print...
They're owned by a marketing company and it's free because they market all of your data. So my thought was that as someone who values privacy, I would rather pay for a service that manages my mailbox and doesn't collect or sell my data.
Concealed Carry Tool
One of the biggest problems I have as a concealed carrier is going to public restrooms...
Unsurprisingly, men's room stalls don't have a convenient place to put your firearm when you're doing the 💩. You've gotta get creative and find a way to put it somewhere temporarily.
On top of that, it's pretty common that bathroom stalls don't even lock themselves...
What if you had a tool that could slide over the door, keep it closed, and have a place for you to put your firearm on the holster until you're ready to leave?
Alright, those are the three ideas I've narrowed things down to.
I'd LOVE your feedback and insight on which idea you think would be best to pursue. I know that most of you are not my target audience, but I'd like to see what you all think.
Here is the link for you to check out!
Thank you again, hope you're having a good weekend!
Cheers,
Andrew Luko
P.S. If you're interested in starting your own side thing, you should read "Million Dollar Weekend". You can get it here (not an affiliate link, I genuinely like the book).
