So far, this month has been a good one. However, as you may have noticed, I’ve posted absolutely nothing on my blog. I’ve decided that until I do, I should send out occasional update emails just so you know I didn’t fall off of the Earth.

This month, my family and I traveled to Greenville, South Carolina to see The Sound of Music play, put on by Bob Jones University. It was a thrilling experience, just as great---or better---as I had hoped it would be. The music, costumes and sets were amazing. During our short vacation in Greenville---besides enjoying singing at a church that played hymns---we spent some wonderful time with our two hosts, met some friends who were in the area at the same time, and enjoyed---or put up with---the hot South Carolina weather.

I haven't written on my blog for the same reason that I stated last time. I have still been writing my novel On Eagle's Wings, and I feel very much like I should continue working on it before I worry about posting more. However, I would be very interested in creating a Q&A with Armatrod, the main hero in my novel! To do that, though, I will need you to ask me some questions! Just reply to my email and treat him as if he were real. I will have him answer you on my blog in first person. Depending on the number of questions I receive, I will include all or only one or two of your questions. ;)

If you're interested, don't hesitate to reach out! (Your name will not be included in any questions that are posted on Shades of Art.)

As for where I am in my story, I reached the 65-thousand-word mark this morning. I can feel God moving very strongly in the novel, helping me with it and giving me the strength I lack to write it.

As far as art goes, I have been working a lot in watercolor. The weather has been lovely lately as well, and I have spent some time outside painting on my easel. (Beatrix Potter vibes, anyone?)

My goal has been to paint portraits of all of the main characters in my A Hero of Alindell series, and I am almost there.

One of my favorite pictures this past month has been this eagle.

And here is the painting that I largely did outside. (She's not quite done.)

And that's it for now! I would love for you to participate in my Q&A with my Main Character! If you want to get to know what my story is about, or what Armatrod is like, just reply and ask me a question! I will answer in my upcoming blog post!

God bless,
