Monthly Update

Aug 31, 2024 2:23 pm

Hello, my friend!

Tomorrow begins to usher in what I think of as "my season!" September starts the autumn, and I'm super excited for it! However, before we look forward to this next month, I'd like to share a bit about this past August.

A lot has happened, and I am excited to share it with you!

Writing

I recently attended a writing retreat, (my second one, in fact!) and at this camp, I got to hang out with online writing friends and meet my instructors. I had a blast, learned a lot, and met my kind of people!

The building that we aspiring authors got to have our seminars in was so awesome!

Art

Recently, I bought a watercolor book at a local bookstore. I got to painting right away. The picture below took about a week. Generally, something like this would take a little longer, but I have been really excited about watercolor since I got the book and have spent more time on art this month than I usually do.

The Blog

First, I would like to thank you for being one of the first subscribers of this email list. I appreciate your support so very much.

Right now, I have 30 subscribers. My goal is to get to 45, possibly 50, by the end of the year. If you know of anyone who would be interested in joining, please share the link with them!

As for the blog itself...in case you missed them, below are links to the last few posts that I've published on Shades of Art!

The Butterfly on the Wall

"The Story of a Past" and an Interview with its Author

The Beauty of Sailing: Embracing the Slow Journey

(This, I am pleased to say, was my very first blog swap!)

What is Childhood?

That's all for now!

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed getting a peek into my past month. I'd love to hear something fun you've been up to!

Feel free to hit reply and tell me all about it. Until next time,

God bless,

Autumn Grace
