I'm back 🙌

Hey

Firstly, can I say a massive heartfelt thank you to every single one of you who emailed me last week with well wishes! I'm humbled and 100% grateful for you.

A quick update (because the world is suffering through this, not just me!) I'm facing into the recovery stage now (minus taste & smell) and have zero energy. Like nada. My brain is a tiny fish banging into the goldfish bowl, looking at the outside world––on repeat. Nothing is going in and not much is coming out.

I'm truly blessed that my symptoms did not revolve around the respiratory complaints that have seen so many people hospitalised and worse. 🙁

So, for me, the show must go on. 💪 (Slowly...)

I write contemporary and multicultural romances with heroes who are sweet on their ladies, dirty in bed, yet completely irresistible under Sade Rena. But as S. Rena, I delve into the darker side of romance with my bestie BL Mute.

How’d you get your start?

I’ve been writing since I could hold a pencil, but I really fell in love with story telling when I joined a writing program in middle school. We wrote original poetry that was published, and rewrote all the classics like Hamlet, The Odessy and more. But I was 16 when I wrote my first novel that I later published in 2015.

Where, who, or what sparked your craziest plot idea?

I worked as a Front Desk Supervisor a few years back and we’d receive this calls from this guy wanting to have phone sex. I didn’t think I would take that true story and turn it into my best selling book years later. Dirty Calls is the name of that book.

What are you working on currently?

Lots. I am co-writing an 8 book series with BL Mute called the Ciccone Brothers Series. But individually, I am gearing up to release the second book in my Small-Town Cowboy series, Last Chance Cowboy, a friends to enemies to lovers romance.
