I hope everyone is well. I had a weird health scare, but it seems to be a symptom of Long Covid, which I was fairly certain I had anyway.

I’m working on a holiday PNR novella. After two books of murders, it feels odd to be working on something without bodies. Although it’s a holiday story, it’s going to have (flawed?) main characters dealing with real life problems. Jericho, a human artist, is dealing with complicated grief, and Kenric, an imp, has issues with his mother. His mother is the Earth Mother and more of his queen, but there are still some mommy issues. I can’t seem to write something that just happy. I always have to throw a few battles or bodies or something into the mix.

Me: You did want spiders with your chocolate chip cookies, didn’t you?
