It has been far too long since I have sent you any sort of communication, . I am so sorry for the silence—life has been full of unexpected business.

Last night it snowed about three inches in my part of the world. Limp cardboard boxes still cover my hostas and flowers as it is chilly for their tender spring shoots. The upside of May snow is that I feel morally obligated to sit inside, reading a book, which is the most beautiful and cozy place to be. So I am secretly thrilled.

I hope you, too, are enjoying a good book and a lovely spring.
