Have You met Dean and Ella?

Here's a little snippet of their emotional rollercoaster of a story.

“Why now? Why do you all of a sudden want me now? When four years ago you left me. You fucking left me, asshole! You walked out without even a second glance.” Her voice raising, she throws her glass across the room. It shatters as it hits a wall, broken shards falling to the ground.
I don’t move. I don’t flinch. If she needs a fucking punching bag, I’m more than happy to be it. Besides, I deserve her anger. I deserve her distrust.
I watch her movements as she starts pacing the room, ready to catch her if she attempts to walk out that door. She can be angry; she can curse me out all she wants. What she can’t do, what I won’t allow her to do, is fucking leave.
“You ripped out my fucking heart and stomped all over it!” she yells as she starts throwing the books from the coffee table at me. She misses every time. One thing Ella has never been any good at is ball sports. She can’t aim for shit, never has been able to.
I stay quiet, watching. She’s like a caged animal, all of her rage towards me coming to the surface. After years of being stamped down, she can finally let it out. Then hopefully let it the fuck go.
“I would have done anything to be with you back then. Why? Why the fuck did you walk away from me?” She flips the glass coffee table over, letting out a frustrated scream when it doesn’t break.
Turning around, she looks at me — stares me straight in the eye — as she whispers, “I fucking needed you. I needed you and you left me.” Her words destroy whatever was left of my soul. What the fuck did I do to the one woman I’ve always loved?
