Eventful July!

Good afternoon, Honeys!
My apologies for this late newsletter, but yesterday my hubby and I drove down to Richmond to spend a few days with our youngest, who moved to a new apartment. Just thinking of how she packed up her old apartment on her own, and moved most of her boxed stuff into the new one without the movers---who still charged her a lot for moving the very few heavy pieces of furniture---has me more impressed than I can say. I was never this focused and driven when I was 24. The girl makes me smile hard!
In other news, July is an eventful (pun intended) month for me. First up is the RSJ Convention, an online conference from July 10th through 12th. Every year since I first attended, it has grown better and better. And because it's a conference for readers and writers, you're invited. If you love networking and making friends among writers, as well as meeting new-to-you ones, RSJ is the place to start. There's still time to register, so visit this link now.
Three days later, I'm off to Ontario, Canada, for the Romance Writers of America (RWA) National Conference in Niagara Falls. I'll be helping to represent my local chapter, the New York City RWA, as well as bonding in person, for the first time in years, with my writing partners Linda and Tana. I'm so excited to be participating again in this event. I believe we must pay it forward and support all those whose efforts will help the romance writing community. You can also register for the RWA Conference here if you're able to attend.
Finally, I applied to participate in RomantiConn 2025 months ago and was put on a waiting list. Then last week, I was invited to fill a newly vacated spot, so on July 26th, I'll be selling and signing my books at the Marriott Hotel in Trumbull, Connecticut. It is an all-day event, and if you're in the area, you may purchase a ticket to meet me and all the other amazing authors who will be selling and signing copies of their books.
I'd love to see you all there, if you can make it. How lovely it would be to see each other face to face, to share a hug and some swag, and maybe buy a book or three. And think of all the new writers you will meet! Click on this RomantiConn link to see how to participate.
Finally, it is with a broken heart that I must tell you of the passing of Twyla Turner, the author whose work I highlighted in May, and for whom I have been planning a charity anthology. I feel so unprepared for this now, and yet I know I must fulfill the promise that I made to her to celebrate her work. Now, it will also be a celebration of her life.
This is Twyla and me in New Orleans back in 2019 at Swirling the Big Easy, a readers and writers event. If you are an author on my list and wish to participate, please click on the link below to apply. Let's show how much we valued her presence in our lives and the joy she brought to every day. Thank you for responding to this Call for Submissions.
I hope that you will all be well, and thank you for being part of my life.
À bientôt,
KT
