A birthday passed ...
I made a disconcerting observation last week as I was preparing another birthday month celebration post on TikTok. I was talking about my male MC's gray hair when Oberon, our Chartreux cat---the beautiful gray cat with the gold eyes above---jumped onto my desk. And it hit me: his gray is gorgeous! Mine ... isn't.
Given that my birthday took me a year closer to 70, my next thought was even more troubling: I've reached this age, and I'm still comparing myself to others. Even worse, this time, the 'other' is a cat!
