Busy, busy bee...that's me!

Dear Readers,

Can you believe we're a week away from September? Good Lord and butter! (This has become a favorite exclamation, even though I'm not sure what it means.) I participated in a free book giveaway -- over 3K books claimed between August 4th and 6th -- and some readers bought a few more books once the giveaway was over. I've also had many readers sample the stories I have in Kindle Unlimited. Many many thanks to all those of you who supported me this month!

As you also know, we laid my beloved nephew to rest this month and we are all, especially his immediate family and his cousins, still absolutely reeling from this. I'm so thankful that we were all able to reunite as a loving family unit, though we would all have preferred it to be for a happy reason. This is why we're planning some kind of family reunion so we can rekindle the love that time and distance have dimmed. Remember to hold your loved ones close and tell them often how much you treasure them, because tomorrow is not promised.

Writing and reading have become my way of handling grief and there's a lot to share with you. I had a 5K-word short story to write, using characters from a story I've already written. I finished it and submitted it on August 20th. It is to be included in an anthology of short stories and as soon as I have more information about it, I'll pass it on to you. It's called "Back to Basics", and is an addition to Back At Last.

Now, here's what else is cooking.

  1. The Love Bytes Series will become a box set hopefully by the end of the year. I will be revising and re-editing the stories. If anyone wants to receive an ARC copy, please shoot me an email so I can make a list when the time comes.
  2. I pitched three story ideas to two editors and an agent in July, and all have expressed an interest in receiving work from me. The Pilot's Wife, a contemporary second-chance, interracial romance, which I pitched as the first in a new series I'm planning, will go out first. The other, tentatively titled Bound by Fire, will be the first in a new paranormal series (about dragons). The third is a two-novel series set in Regency England. The first novel in that series is called His Reclusive Grace.
  3. This is the placeholder cover (cover reveal will come later) for A Very Pregnant Christmas, now available for pre-order on Amazon. Click on the link in the title to get your copy now. It will go live on January 4th, 2024, and is the fourth book (a novella this time) in the Twelfth Day of Christmas Romance series. It will be heavily revised and re-edited with a few new additions, for those of you who may have read it as part of the anthology which is no longer available.

As you can see, I'm keeping myself busy, because an occupied mind is a happy mind. Now, I'd better get back to work. These novels won't write themselves! Enjoy the rest of August, y'all!

À bientôt,

KT
