Double Take!

Happy Double Take Day, dear Reader!
Today is Mother's Day, and I'd just like to celebrate all those of you who act in the role of mothers to the children in your care. Whether they are young or old, mothering never ends. It only changes, and we all need the physical and emotional strength to keep doing what we do for the love of our children. I hope you'll all have a wonderful day with those you love who love you in return.
As you may or may not know, there's a second cause for celebration today. May is National Get Caught Reading Month, and as a writer who reads, it's something that I am 100% behind! I enjoy reading everything but horror stories. And my children -- all four of them -- will attest to the fact that their English-teacher mama never allowed their minds to grow weeds in the summer. They were always reading and writing in a journal. Yeah... home-based summer school was a thing! LOL!
To celebrate this fabulous themed month, I'm going to share a few of the romance novels I've just read, am currently reading, or will soon be reading with you. Then at the end, I'll invite you to share what you're reading with me.
So, first on my list is Darie McCoy's first book, For Real, still my favorite of hers by far. Driscoll Kelly is a Secret Service agent... no, not as part of a security detail, but doing the work for which the agency was originally established in 1865. And McKenna Frost, the woman he falls for, is an audit specialist in a bank. Their meet-cute is transformative for them and others, and the story will engage you completely.
Next up are two sets of books featuring bestselling author Stephanie Morris. The first, a box set titled A Season For Love, is a collection of love stories about characters in their 40's and older... my kind of love story. To quote from the descrirption, these stories are about "billionaires and alpha military heroes... nerds and single dads". I've already started it and I'm loving the stories so far.
The second is a series titled Unexpectedly Royal, of which Royally Seduced is the first. I've already 1-clicked all three because I find their blurbs intriguing, and I absolutely LOVE shifter stories. These three stories include a bear (Book 1) a wolf (Book 2), and a mountain lion (Book 3). I can't wait to dive into them!
The last book I want to share with you is Embrace Me, about Tadhg Byrne, a hearing-impaired architect, and Quinn MacDougall, the hearing man he falls for. The challenges are real and each man has to struggle to fight through to their HEA. If you enjoy MM romances, I think you will enjoy this one.
So, now it's your turn. I'm assuming that since you're subscribed to my newsletter, you already enjoy reading. What sorts of books do you enjoy? And how do you decide which books to borrow from the library or add to your own library by purchasing them from your favorite store? I'd love to hear from you.
Just one more thing... a quick plug. My next book, Back To Love, comes out on July 4. I'm also part of a Christmas box set, Wanted: Mistletoe, coming out in November. You can click on the links above and pre-order both books to add to your collection, so when they come out, you can keep the spirit of this month alive, and get caught reading all over again. And thank you for your support!
Until next time, take care and stay blessed. And happy Mother's Day!
À bientôt,
K. T.
