June, Too Soon!

Welcome to June, dear Reader!
So much has happened since I was with you last. My son, his wife, and their two children arrived back in the States from Japan, where he has lived after retiring from the Navy, for 11 years. I met my grandchildren for the first time on May 25th after eleven o'clock at night at JFK Airport in New York City.
As you can imagine, it's been a hectic week. Next Wednesday, we're all going to my husband's retirement party, which meant dress and shoe shopping for my Japanese contingent today. To say I'm pooped doesn't even begin to describe how tired I am! LOL!
As a result, I've done more writing of my Kindle Vella episodes than my WIP which is now 2 months late! And some days, I can't write. It's taken my family a while to recover from the jet lag, and a fussy baby isn't conducive to restful sleep, or rest at all.
But I'm not complaining ... he's a sweet bundle of joy, as is my 6-year-old granddaughter. Here he is asleep on his mama's lap. And will you look at her feet? I'm in awe! :)
Just a couple of reminders before I go to bed. First, during Loving Week -- June 10 through June 14 -- A Catered Affair will be ON SALE on Amazon for .99c. Take advantage of this once-in-a-blue-moon offer and get to know Dom and Jo. Watch Chef Dom stir the pot to entice event planner Jo, and see how she reaches her tipping point in their eventful relationship.
Also, The Pilot's Wife is already up to Episode 13 on Kindle Vella. I'm having so much fun sharing Ellie and Spence with you. If you haven't already done so, why not come along for the ride now? Both Ellie and Spence are keeping secrets from each other. I'm enjoying spilling the tea as they struggle to acknowledge their feelings and work toward a happy ending.
Finally, this year, once again, the RSJ Convention, aka Romance Slam Jam, will be online. This reader and author event will run from July 11 through July 13, and promises to be even better this year than ever!
I'm off to bed now. Another day of grandmothering while working awaits me. Wish me luck! :)
À bientôt,
KT
