My Kingdom For A Break!

Good evening, Honeys!
February's almost over, and it's been quite a month.
After months of hard work, I met the challenge I set for myself last June — LOVE WINS is published. Now the real work begins: getting it into enough hands so that the seven incredible authors who share its pages with me can make a meaningful contribution to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in Twyla Turner's name.
Today is the last day of National Cancer Awareness Month, and the clock is ticking. The anthology's rights return to individual authors on May 15th — which means we're in the final stretch.
If you haven't grabbed your copy yet, please do. Paperback lovers, click the link. And if you've already read any of the stories, a review on Amazon or Goodreads will mean the world to us. Every rating helps. We truly cannot do this without you.
I also hope you've shown some love for 52 LOVE — your support there means everything, too. The link is Live.
On a personal note — I spent today at the Mid-Atlantic Romance Writers Conference at Randolph Macon College in Ashland, VA, and I'm coming home full. Inspired. Rejuvenated. Reminded of exactly why I do this work and how blessed I am to share my worlds and characters with readers like you.
A special shoutout to the planning committee — these ladies worked tirelessly to pull off a brilliant one-day event, and I was honored to play even a small part. I'm already looking forward to next year. This is the kind of professional development I can get behind. Thanks to my youngest, who lives in Richmond, for being my chauffeur today.
On the writing front, I'm in the home stretch with Magic Moments, and simultaneously diving headfirst into something completely new. Remember me mentioning Mascarpone and Mayhem, my very first mafia romcom, in a previous newsletter?
This one's a double first for me: I've never written mafia or romcom before---yes, you read that right---so as you can imagine, the learning curve is real. It demands patience, attention to detail, and---who knew?---writing comedy is genuinely hard work. But I'm here for it. Stay tuned ... it's going to be a wild ride!
And one more thing ... after keeping you busy with bi-weekly updates since December, we're returning to our regular monthly newsletter schedule. Same great content, a little more breathing room for both of us.
Until next time, happy Match!
À bientôt,
KT
