Bring on 2026!A note from Jack Adkins · The Dragons of Dorwine |
A new year always feels like permission to change how you do things. As we head into 2026, I wanted to share where my focus is shifting—and how Dorwine is going to start showing up in the real world a bit more this year. Do you do resolutions or perhaps use the New Year as an excuse to reset your goals? |

What I’m Pushing in 2026This year, I’m stepping out from behind the keyboard a bit more. That means focusing on two things I care deeply about: - In-person events — book fairs, signings, and anywhere readers gather. I love meeting people and talking to others who loves books like I do.
- Libraries — making sure Dorwine is easy to find where readers already look. Reading was such a big part of my life as kid. I want to be in libraries talking about writing and books with young folks. I also want to push Libby/Hoopla in libraries. More opportunities for my books to find people.
There’s something grounding about putting physical books into real hands and seeing where stories live once they leave the screen. Do you use your public library? Either in person or digitally? Let me know: jack@authorjackadkins.com or at https://www.facebook.com/authorjackadkins

On a smaller note, I’ve also moved offices inside the house. New walls, new shelves, and a slightly different view out the window—sometimes that’s all it takes to shake loose a little momentum. |
Still RunningIf you missed it last week, this promotion is still live and worth a look—plenty of fantasy to carry you through winter reading. |
Fantasy With Mythical CreaturesDragons, beasts, and legends that refuse to stay in the background—this one leans hard into classic fantasy creatures. |
