Two Thriller Series from Marc Cameron

I lived in Alaska for 3 1/2 years. Some of you knew that. I really came to love and appreciate the culture and the people there during our time. I also like 'guys with guns' stories. Marc Cameron blended these worlds beautiful. Deputy US Marshall Arliss Cutter is man's man who is compassionate, skilled at violence, and driven by a strong sense of justice. And he happens to live in Alaska. If real Alaskan culture interests you at all, go check out these books.
If you prefer the gritty loner who was hardened into a weapon in the harsh deserts of the Middle East, you should try Jericho Quinn. Marc Cameron, who you might recognize as co-writing some of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan Jr. novels, has a second series of books I've am really enjoying. Jericho Quinn is a federal agent, more along the lines of a James Reece or Cort Gentry. I've only read the first book, but I really enjoyed it. The characters in both of these series are very well developed.
Marc's stories are heavily influenced by his own time as a US Marshall, as well as the work his sons are doing in law enforcement.
