I got what I wanted most for ChristmasA note from Jack Adkins · The Dragons of Dorwine |
I got what I wanted most for Christmas: family. My house was full of laughter and fellowship on Christmas Day. We had 15+ people singing Christmas songs from hymnals while my wife played piano. It was perfect. I hope you found at least a little of that, too—whether your holidays were loud, quiet, messy, joyful, or somewhere in between. A couple of quick updates below, plus something for your next read. |

Writing Update I’m back at the keyboard this week, and I’m using the post-holiday quiet to get momentum for January. I’ll share more specifics as soon as I’m confident the words are sticking. |

Michael Kramer Reads DorwineI’m still collecting short audio snippets for you—because if you love epic fantasy audiobooks, you already know that voice. Here’s a quick sample (or swap this link for the clip you want to feature this week). |

Lore from Dorwine“Jhaldus stepped from the shadows. He held some sort of miniaturized crossbow the likes of which she had never seen before. And it was pointed directly at her. "I don't want to disturb your voyeurism but we are running out of time." Although she could still see lines of fear etched on his face, he mostly seemed excited. His red bloodshot eyes danced gleefully as a thin grin spread across his face. "We clearly are not the only ones down here."” — Jhaldus and Crenthys from The Blood of a Dragon |
