Cooler temps, falling leaves, and good books

Fall has arrived!

If you've been around a while, you know I love cold weather. We really missed Spring and Fall when we lived in Alaska (where we only had two seasons; mud and snow). In Kentucky, the leaves are turning on our trees, and it's about 50 degrees when I leave for work each morning.

imageRoscoe greets me each morning. We talk about writing, books, and authors. He doesn't say much, but that's okay. I get to tell him all the twists and turns I'm considering for my various projects.

Speaking of which, Book 4 is kind of grinding to a standstill. I have some big choices to make that I'm not ready for. Also, an alternative to the defunct NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) has emerged. 50,000 words written in 90 days. ProWritingAid is putting that on, and I'm excited to join it. I'll use that to propel Book 4 ahead.

We should discuss The Devil on Klack Mountain. That is my free serial Thriller on Royal Road. I love writing it, but time has been short lately. I have shelved it for now.

I have discussed writing a Tabir novella, as well as an Ember story. Both will be backstories. These are still coming, but I'm pushing them off because Book 4 is becoming an Ember/Tabir story, more than an Anuka tale.

Finally, I completed a skeleton outline for a book series that takes place Above The Line, or north of Dorwine. Why start another story outline with so many other things going on? It's been scratching at my brain for about eight months, and I had to have some relief. Once I put the seeds of a story in the ground, my subconscious brain can work on it while I sleep.

I need some help. If you read any of my books, please pick up the mic and write imagean honest review. It helps others find my stuff. You don't have to write out a review; you can just choose a number of stars.
