Hello !

Just one week until the overeating starts! Woo hoo! We'll be feating at the annual ham dinner at a neighbour's on the 23rd, eating a veggie burger with non-alcohol Guinness on the 24th since friends are playing at our local pub (never spent Christmas Eve at a pub before), and both adult sons say they'll come home for turkey and fixings on the 25th.

And although I'm sad that Mr Bloom hung up his giant gift bag, handing over the Santa suit to a new firefighter, ending over a decade of my being Mrs Clause for our community's Santa event, I will still be dressing up to hand out poinsettias to our elders this Saturday. We only have seven to deliver but those ladies do love to jibber jabber with unexpected company, so that will likely fill my whole day!

I'm hoping the rain will stop so my husband of German ancestry and I can spend an afternoon at the Vancouver Christmas market. I never tire of hearing how much better the real German Christmas markets are. 🙄😂
