Hey there!

First off, I wanted to say sorry.

I've switched to a new emailing system, and I believe I accidentally sent you all the welcome email once again. On the bright side, if you haven't downloaded Shielded for free, then you had the chance then!

Things seem to be speeding up for me, and at just the right time. The Etcher's Plight, now just short of 150,000 words, is on the second to last chapter. For a discover writer like myself, it's pretty amazing that I know with surety that I am on the penultimate chapter. That's about as far into the future as I can look when it comes to writing.

Once I'm done with it? I'll be setting it aside for a month or two to come back with a fresh perspective. When I do, it'll be a quick pass from me, a Pro-writing aid pass, then I'll be sending it to BETA readers (reply if you'd like to be one of those).

In other news! I've officially signed with a publisher to co-author a middle grade sci-fi trilogy. This was something I never thought I'd do, but it's proving to be an exciting venture so far. There will be more to come news-wise, but know that there will be more Dan Kenner books (along with an amazing co-author in this case) in the near future.

Being an author is complicated enough, but throw anxiety and ADHD into the mix and it becomes a whole different matter. Even if you aren't neurodiverse, or if you have different mental challenges with writing, you'll relate to this conversation with Deston and me about thriving no matter your circumstances.

And your favorite update of all. Our oldest son was in an archery competition last weekend. Can I tell you how much I wish I was a cool archer as a kid? Check him out in all his glory. With his cool jersey (last name on the back to boot) and a second-place plaque, this kid is going to be the next Robin Hood.
