More Chickens and More Projects

Hey there!

We have now reached that time of year when I get to feed lots and lots of mouths for a few months! I can now say that I am in charge of keeping over 60 creatures (and humans) alive, and I wouldn't be lying. Don't worry, it's more of just a funny thing I say to make people's eyes widen, but in reality, it's just lots of chickens.

See, we got our shipments of meat birds this last week (as usual, pic at the end.) These little fluffy yellow guys are adorable, and despite their fate in about eight weeks, we will ensure that they have a cozy, comfortable and happy life. They have their own little house and warming light and they seem thrilled.

More homestead animals counts as another project, as usual, but there are author things afoot. I'm happy to say that my co-author and I, after a very deep discussion about 'what the heck are we going to write about', decided it's time to get back to The Kids of Cybercity book! This is perfect timing while I'm 'in between' writing periods with Dragonblooded and The Etcher's Plight.

I'm also trying to sort out the best options for audiobooks. Right now I'm looking at either 1) recording the audiobooks for The Lightbearer Chronicles myself, or 2) editing the AI generated versions and selling those. Both options have their own pros and cons, but I know the audiobooks are long overdue.

New Podcast Episode

Here you can see the little chicks cozying up for the night in their warming light and smaller chicken tractor (this is the second version of the tractor we made years ago)
