The Final Baby Goat, Editing, and Cover Help

Hey there!

Now that summer is in full swing, the chores every day are ramping up. We popped another batch of eggs into the incubator and hatched out another 18 chicks which means we have our upcoming flock of egg layers well on their way. Shortly we'll have meat chickens to work with, and with all the baby goats and coming baby cow, there's no shortage of things to do. Fortunately, our kids love coming out and being with the animals, so they are more than happy to pitch in and help take care of everything.

One of the more exciting things going on on the homestead is that Mallow, our beautiful white coated goat finally had her baby. She's such a tiny little thing and looks pretty much exactly like her mother. I like to call her Schmallow. She's proving to be really friendly like her mom, which is a trait that we are glad to have passed down as often as possible.

Here she is in her teeny tiny glory. (for reference, the other goat in the picture is another of the babies)

My Progress This Week

I wish I had more interesting news for you other than 'I'm still editing' but that's what it all is these days. I brought my short story, To Commune with Spirits before my writing group and they loved it. Save for some minor pacing issues, the story is a great heroic tragedy. Something that my pantsing brain is apparently obsessed with recently. I have to the end of the month to get it all wrapped up and ready for submission to the Writers of the Future competition.

As you know, I've just recently released the cover of Dragonblooded (which I still love very very much. However, my lovely and amazing wife pointed out that some of the colors might be a little---clashing, for lack of a better term. This, of course, makes little sense to my colorblind eyes. Clashing colors is just something that I can neither see nor detect. So what does this mean? Well, I've tried to address the issue, and would love your input (even if you are colorblind like me--maybe you have a different type and can see clashing better than me.) So what do you think? Do you like the Silver text or the more Bronzey one? (Don't worry, still working on a solution for the slightly hidden sub text)

My Entire Library in Ream!

I'm excited to say that not only are there going to be new chapters with nearly every email I send, but I've also opened up a new tier for my community. I decided that if you're a fan of me or my books, that it might be nice to be able to get access to all my books whenever and wherever you wanted. So, I set up a 'complete library' access tier for everything I write and publish--forever! (The only caveat is the Kids of Cybercity since I don't own the rights to those manuscripts given it was through a publisher). Don't hesitate to check it out if you want access to all my post and pre-published works.
