Taking Advantage of the Goat Babies
Jun 15, 2023 3:06 pm
Hey there!
The thing about having animals, particularly ones that are in milk, is that you don't really get to leave home. Only during a short period of time when you still have babies to eat the milk do you get to leave. Just a quick note about the babies, my son set up a 'slide' for the baby goats and they had a blast sliding down. (I'll pop that picture at the end of the email). We only have a few weeks left before we sell these cute goat kids away, so we took a quick trip south to an amusement park.
There were mixed feelings about the rides. For the most part the kiddos loved there little rides. The big roller coasters? Not so much. Though there were some pretty funny faces pulled on the big drops.
In any case, our trip resulted in less author-y things this last week, but that's how life happens. Still, I'm gearing up to dive into editing (just my first round edits) Dragonblooded in preparation for BETA readers. I've already had a couple of you reach out saying you'd love to be a BETA reader (thank you!) but if you haven't replied yet, you still have time.
Dragonblooded is the first of a six book series and it's like a mixture of Percy Jackson and Lorien Legacies. It was a blast to write and I can't wait for you to read it.

If there's anything that will alert to readers that the story isn't genuine, it's when characters are just a little TOO perfect. Join Anorin and me as we talk about how flawed chracters make more compelling stories.

I grabbed a video but I'm not sure those work very well in emails. If I can figure that out I'll pop it into the next email.
