Happy Turkey Day!

Hello my Lovlies!

It is that time of year again when we get to stuff our face with great food and enjoy (or maybe not ;) ) time with friends and family. Oh, and sink into a food coma!

We have been bombarded with Christmas commercials since Halloween and the terror of Black Friday is here. If you are shopping in the madness, please be safe! Me? I am keeping my ass home because this is how I feel about Christmas shopping --

Anyway, enough about Christmas. This newsletter is about Thanksgiving! Now, I know many of you have read the Mad Dogs series and maybe some of you even follow their FB page. Either way, the guys reminded me to share their Thanksgiving woes from last year since are currently deployed. So, here you go....

"El, really?" Oh looked at his mate incredulously. "Get that fucking thing off my damn desk!"

El just smirked and sent images of Oh being in place of the turkey through their mental link.

Oh held in a groan, but still managed to spit out, "Now, El!"

"God damn it El," Oh yelled at his bond mate.

"You know better than to mention turkey to him," M chuckled while they all stood outside the barracks and watched their turkey burn.

"At least this year, he didn't blow it up," Doc commented dryly.

"I was picking turkey and stuffing off shit for weeks," H laughed. "But it was so worth it."

"Is this some sort of tradition that we should know about?" Jordy asked without taking his eyes off the sizzling bird. His mouth was starting to water at the smell of roasting fowl now that the fat was maintaining the flames.

"Yeah," B confirmed. "Apparently El has a thing against turkeys. That's why we always buy 5. One for him to decimate and the others for us to eat."

They all watched as Oh continued to yell and marched over to his mate. It wasn't like their new CO didn't know El did this every year.

H laughed again. "El had a run in with some wild turkeys on a mission in the 70's and ever since he's been blowing them all to hell. This year, I am surprised it's only on fire."

"Yes, seeing your teammate startled from sleep by wild turkeys was very amusing," Duke smiled and didn't make any effort to hide his fangs.

Nick shook his head. "He's not going to..."

Yep, Oh did. He stomped up to the burning bird and kicked the shit out of it. Grease spattered Oh's fatigues and set the material to smoking before the turkey rolled several feet away.

"Oh shit," Brian started laughing so hard he fought to catch his breath.

The men stood in front of their new barracks and watched as Oh danced around with his pant leg on fire while he tried to grab whatever was in El's hand. They didn't have to wait long to see what their demo teammate was holding when El took a few steps back. It was clear to every man that El had just pulled a pin from a grenade. None of them stood around to see El toss it so that it rolled to rest against smoldering turkey. Instead, they fled through the door of their new barracks. The resounding explosion met their ears a few seconds later.

"Well, if just isn't Thanksgiving until El blows up the bird," H laughed again.

"Now that that is done, let's get to cooking before he decides blowing one all to hell wasn't enough for this year."

Doc walked toward the kitchen and the rest of the men followed.

So, I hope you enjoyed sharing the Mad Dogs Thanksgiving Day chaos. The next book is in the works. Mac will get his HEA, but it has been slow going due to, well, life shit. All is good, though, so no worries. It will be released as soon as it's finished... duh, huh? LOL.

Have a safe holiday, my lovlies.
