Traveling with the Rescue Kitty & the hubby has bad timing

This is just a little nonbook related life update. Or maybe I should call it a minor complaint LOL

Next week on Tuesday, we’re visiting our daughter. She lives in Virginia near the ocean. I haven’t seen her since Christmas, so see her again will be awesome. Also, the ocean and it’s going to be in the 80fs there. It’s 40f here right now. So yeah, sun and warmth after a long winter will be nice too.

But we have to take Pippin (the rescue kitty) because he’s just coming off his umpteenth bout of antibiotics. He seems better than ever. Finally. But we still need to monitor him. And not only that, but he’s very attached to the hubby and I. We’re not sure how he’d do without us, even with our other two cats.

Taking Pippin entails me having to remember to pack his meds just in case, as well as all the other things a normal cat needs. It’s not just me packing for myself. There’s a lot to do and remember before we leave.

So my hubby decides to remodel the upstairs hallway. It sounds like a small project, but I live in an old farmhouse, so the hall and landing space are rather large. We’ve had all the stuff to complete the project for an entire year. And he does it a week before leaving for Virginia.

So after making a short story very long and bitching to you LOL, I’ve concluded that the hubby has very poor time management skills. Or is it more of a time consideration thing? Whatever. It’s a good thing I love him. LOL

Also, I’ll send pics of Pippin while we’re on the beach. As much time as it takes to bring him on trips, which we’ve done before, having him with us is so much fun. He walks better than most dogs while on a lead, and he’s so cute.
