An Excerpt from Coming Back Home (Pickleville 9)
He made his way up the stairs, knocking on Seth’s door with a light tap, and waited a full minute before knocking again. When Seth still didn’t answer, Carter turned the knob, pushing the door open a little at a time.
He had the door about halfway open when Seth came into view. His back was turned and he was bent over, pulling on underwear. He hadn’t covered his ass yet, so Carter saw hm in all his glory.
God, Seth was so …fuckable. As much as Carter wanted to take out his cock and sink between Seth’s pretty globes, he probably should give Seth the privacy he deserved.
But then Carter noticed the underwear. They were the brief type and green with navy blue polka dots on them. When Seth pulled them over his cheeks, they hugged it.
God, Carter wanted to touch him.
The whole thing only took a few seconds, but Carter would replay it in his mind forever. In slow motion while he was in the shower, probably.
Carter must have made a noise because Seth grabbed an article of clothing, covering his front even though his underwear did a fine job of it. He sort of folded in on himself a little, trying to make himself appear smaller, less appealing, not that it was possible.
“Carter!”
“I…uh…” He’d been caught. No doubt about that. And it left him a little unsure of himself, which wasn’t something he was used to. “Sorry. I-I just came to wake you.”
Seth sat on the bed, pulling the rumpled covers over his lap.
“I said I’d set an alarm on my phone.” He sounded a little perturbed by the whole thing. Very not how Carter felt.
Carter’s instinct was to soothe him, so he took a step inside the room without thinking.
“Carter!” Seth blinked. His mouth hung open. Then he chuckled and shook his head.
Carter laughed with him. “I really am sorry.”
“You don’t look it.” Seth softened the rebuke with one of his shy smiles.
Carter wiggled his eyebrows. “It was definitely a happy accident. For me, anyway.”
Seth chuckled again, and then waved his hand, trying to get Carter to leave. “Stop teasing and let me get dressed.”
“Or…I can watch you.”
“Or…you can wait for me downstairs. I’ll be less than five minutes.”
Carter sighed and turned to leave. “Thanks for the view, Sethie.”
