Happy May!
Step Into Spring with National Walking Month and the Reading Walking Festival!
This May, we're excited to celebrate National Walking Month—a time to embrace the joys of walking and explore the stunning beauty of Berkshire on foot. As the weather warms and the countryside bursts into bloom, there's no better way to experience the outdoors than by participating in the Reading Walking Festival.
Explore Berkshire Like Never Before!
Join us for a series of guided walks designed to showcase the best of our local landscapes. Each walk is tailored to different interests and fitness levels, ensuring there's something for everyone. From leisurely strolls through the historic town of Reading to more vigorous hikes across rolling hills, these walks are perfect for anyone looking to break from their daily routine and immerse themselves in nature.
Reading Walking Festival Highlights:
- Date and Location: Join us for 50 guided walks from May 11 to May 19, 2024, in Reading. Each journey in the Reading Walking Festival is guided by a local volunteer, offering a vivid exploration of Reading's history, wildlife, and landscapes, along with the picturesque areas surrounding it.
- Featured Walk: I am excited to introduce the Pangbourne Circular Walk, which I will be leading on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in partnership with Visorando, a navigation app that provides free turn-by-turn descriptions and high-quality maps to enhance your walking experience.
