Let’s talk about how Uche discovered his late father’s Artwork is worth over $12,000

So, Uche lost his father in 2019,

He wasn’t looking for anything, he just wanted to grief

He tried so hard to make sense of the quietness that grief leaves behind.

However, one quiet morning,

He started sorting through their family home and found an old painting that was dusty, unsigned, but strangely familiar.

It turned out to be one of the earliest works by renowned Nigerian artist Bruce Onobrakpeya.

With a friend’s help, Uche had it verified and appraised

Guess what ?

It was worth over $12,000.

But the real value wasn’t in the price.

Instead, that moment uncovered something deeper: a connection to his father’s quiet love for African art.

It sparked something in Uche. A need to understand, to preserve, and eventually, to collect.

Today, his home is filled with intentional choices: works from emerging talents and African masters alike.

For Uche, art became more than an investment. It became healing.

Also, a way to build a legacy rooted in memory, emotion, and meaning.

And as he often says,

“My portfolio doesn’t just grow in value, it grows in meaning.”

Uche’s story just shows the importance of Artistic Legacy,

I hope you’re inspired today?

Have an amazing Thursday,

Blessing from Atsur.
