Dear Friend,
It is a festive weekend in India, with Diwali being celebrated in the early hours of Sunday, November 8, in the southern parts of the country. The festival of lights is traditionally associated with the triumph of light over darkness. I also like to look at it from a seasonal perspective, as it coincides with the progression towards the time of year when nights grow longer. I find this seasonal dimension an interesting additional meaning to the festival. I am also resuming my teaching activities from Sunday itself, making this a meaningful weekend.
Speaking of teaching, the next cohort of the one-year Diploma in Indian Astrology begins on November 28. The course is approved by the APAI and is among the few courses that explore the philosophical foundations of astrology, with an emphasis on answering many of the fundamental questions about the why of astrology. By the end of the course, you will have developed the ability to read charts from a Vedic perspective, with a deeper understanding of its principles.
I am considering increasing my consultation fees and discontinuing the $99 and $199 service I currently offer. However, I have opened my booking slots through the end of this year so that friends who wish to consult me can still take advantage of the current pricing. If you have been considering a personal consultation with me, this might be a good opportunity to book a reading at the existing rates before the changes take effect. If you decide to entrust me with the study of your chart, I look forward to working with you.
