APSS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) INFORMATION

Dear APSS Member,


Below is some important information about this year's AGM (Annual General Meeting) of APSS.


The MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION is UNDERLINED in this email.


Summary of key information:

  • The AGM for 2021 will be a virtual event on 27 July 2021 (free to attend for APSS Members. Only open for APSS members)
  • Please SUBMIT the Exco nomination form by 9 JULY 2021 if you wish to nominate someone.
  • Only nominate a person whom you KNOW wants to serve on the EXCO.


ROAD MAP:

Today: Announce call for nominations to EXCO

9 July 2021: Last day to nominate anyone to the EXCO

16 July 2021: The list of nominated EXCO members will be announced to members for voting.

16 July - 23 July: Period of voting on EXCO members (Voting will be done BEFORE the AGM this year, like last year, due to Corona Pandemic)

  • Suggested changes to the constitution to be sent in by 9 July 2021.
  • Questions about the AGM to be emailed to admin@asiaspeakers.org with a CC to cathy.johnson@lifesupportforce.com no later than 23 July 2021.
  • Send in a scanned, signed copy of the Proxy form by 23 July 2021. (Proxy forms will be sent out shortly)

27 July 2021: Virtual AGM meeting where voting will be announced and new EXCO takes over. (No voting at AGM)


1) EXCO NOMINATIONS.


It is time for us to elect new Executive Committee (EXCO) to take our esteemed association forward.

a) For Exco Nominations: Please download the Nomination form here and send this by 9th July 2021. Please submit all nominations to our President Elect, Tanvi Gautam (tanvi@leadershiftinc.com) and please CC admin@asiaspeakers.org as well as cathy.johnson@lifesupportforce.com.


b) We announced the call for nominations for EXCO at the virtual Monthly Meeting on 29 June, and on the Members Facebook group.


c) To be able to VOTE on EXCO members you need to send in an email to cathy.johnson@lifesupportforce.com with a scanned copy of a SIGNED PROXY FORM that states CATHY JOHNSON (Immediate Past President and Chair of the AGM) as your Proxy NO LATER than 23 JULY. (Proxy forms will be sent out shortly.)

2) SUGGESTED CHANGES TO CONSTITUTION AND OTHER QUESTIONS REGARDING THE AGM


For suggested changes to constitution: Please send in an email to admin@asiaspeakers.org BY 9th of July 2021. (The form for submitting changes to constitution can be obtained by emailing admin@asiaspeakers.org.)

For any questions, clarifications, issues from a member regarding the AGM, and email must be sent to admin@asiaspeakers.org and CCed to cathy.johnson@lifesupportforce.com BY 23 July 2021.The earlier your question is sent in the better the EXCO can prepare an answer.


3) THE AGM

The AGM this year will be 27 July 7-8 PM.

The AGM will be a VIRTUAL meeting held via Zoom. (Link will be sent later)

An email will be sent out to members via email before the AGM with agenda, annual report, and other relevant information.

Any questions or issues raised by members must be submitted BY 23 JULY 2021. (After that no questions or issues can be raised. That includes no time for questions during the AGM, as per the guidelines of the Singapore Government).
