It's a wrap! Our APSS AGM + July Monthly Meeting 2024 was a success. It went seamlessly well, thank you to those that attended! We covered through the president's report, financial review, presentation of the new EXCO and addressing other business matters, led by our Chair for AGM, IPP Guan Hin Tay.

Reflecting on this year's success, the Outgoing EXCO Team 2023-2024 deserves significant credit. Their dedication and innovative approach in organizing activities have enriched members and bolstered the association. This year has been a dynamic journey, marked by new initiatives, valuable learning, and networking opportunities. Kudos to the team!

APSS 20TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

A momentous occasion was celebrated at the Convention Gala Night—the 20th anniversary of APSS, marking two decades of dedication to nurturing and showcasing exceptional speakers!

HONORING FOUNDING MEMBERS, PAST PRESIDENTS, CSPs & GLOBAL SPEAKING FELLOWS

The Founding Members, Past Presidents, CSPs, and Global Speaking Fellows were honored for their significant contributions and lasting impact on the organization. Their dedication has been crucial to its success and growth.

MONTHLY MEETINGS

Monthly meetings have been a vibrant tapestry of learning and growth, each session bringing something uniquely valuable. It featured a dynamic mix of sessions, including Lego Serious Play, digital branding, magnetic storytelling, year-end party and wisdom and sharing with the generations of presidents.

SPEAKERS' ACADEMY

The Speakers’ Academy last year was a resounding success! With exceptional speakers and a higher-than-expected attendance of 94, it was truly a two-day blast full of ideas on elevating speaking skills and career.

INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER'S DAY

Let’s not forget the celebration of International Speaker’s Day! The occasion highlighted wins, shared stories, and embraced challenges as speakers. Despite being held virtually, the engagement and learning were exceptional.

DARE+ PRE-CONVENTION: NETWORKING PARTY

On May 9th, an amazing pre-convention evening was held at Verandah Pool & Bar Grill, warmly welcoming overseas guests and speakers and setting the stage for a wonderful upcoming days of the DARE+ CONVENTION 2024.

2-DAY DARE+ CONVENTION 2024

Convention days were packed with greatness - from inspiring speakers, enriching workshops to valuable networking and even daring to try out new formats. The event also featured the youngest-ever emcee, Arokya Gupta!

In total, we had 97 new attendees!

DARE+ CONVENTION 2024: GALA DINNER AND AWARDS

The GALA NIGHT, themed BE BOLD: BE FEARLESSLY YOU, was a dazzling night full of great entertainment, delicious food, and lively networking. It was a joy to mingle and dance with all delegates, creating unforgettable memories of a fantastic evening!

POST CONVENTION: THE CSP SUMMIT

The CSP Summit—Audacity: Dare to Innovate and Grow was a standout success, featuring a half-day of insights from top speakers. Attendees rated it among the best, with special thanks to Benjamin Loh, CSP, and Wendy Tan, CSP, for their organizing efforts.

New initiatives were launched to enhance the APSS brand, drive member recruitment, and boost engagement—all at no additional cost to the association. These efforts successfully strengthened the association's presence and fostered deeper connections with members.

UPDATED MEMBERSHIP FORM

For aspiring and renewing members, the membership form has been updated with new terms and agreements to better protect the well-being of our members and the entire organization.

UPDATED EXCO AGREEMENT

The new terms require Executive Committee members to sign a non-disclosure agreement to ensure confidentiality and protect sensitive organizational information. This measure is designed to safeguard the integrity and privacy of both the committee and the organization.

AUGUST MONTHLY MEETING

We are delighted to host the August Monthly Meeting at a new venue, with the new EXCO Team and featuring a great globally-recognized guest speaker and amazing host! What a full pack of excitement, so come and be part of it! ✨
