Dear APSS community,

I have seen the future and it holds significant promise. 

Well the future of APSS and speaking anyway!

We recently had a networking night in person where we inducted some newcomers to APSS. Each of them walked boldly and confidently onto the stage and introduced themselves. Honestly, I am not sure if I would have been quite this confident at their stage in the journey. Let's face it, APSS has some of the biggest and the best names of the speaking industry in the audience ! So hats off to them.

Since our last communication, I had the chance to work for a few days in Barcelona and the same spirit of swab and go was to be seen as I had found in the US. if you are someone who has not managed to travel still I would highly

encourage you to take a baby step, even if it feels intimidating, because it allows you to hit reset on more than 2 years of inertia that can set in. My own courage to travel came from the travel photos posted by some of our other speaking professionals. So let us cheer each other on as Singapore also begins to take steady steps to recovery.

The exco continues to make solid investments in setting up the association to meet the future. We are moving towards a CRM system (away from excel sheets) that is used by most professional associations around the world and this should enhance our membership experience. We continue to source thank you gifts from social causes and support social enterprises that allow us to be a more inclusive organization. And thanks to Avi Liran for pointing to me the use of plastic bottles at our last event, we will also start to explore how we can make our rising number of in person events more sustainable! 

I want to invite you to think of how you can make your own proposals, events and speaking more inclusive and sustainable for our audiences.

Like always, we have a packed agenda coming up (I think I calculated 5 events in 7 weeks !!) so make sure you join the variety of in person and online events taking place. and how to sell when you don't like to sell!

2. Convention tickets for May 27 and 28th are on sale and selling fast! 80% of the Gala dinner is sold already. We have an in-person day and specially discounted tickets on sale. Make sure you grab your ticket here:
