Hi Everyone,

Hope the Chinese new year has brought some joy and abundance your way. The times we live in, we must find every reason to celebrate to keep ourselves going.

I just got back from my first ever overseas engagement and it took a bit of courage to step outside of the safe bubble we have created in Singapore but once on the plane - muscle memory took over. In the US things where I went

seemed to be in 'swab and go' mode. And we are also seeing signs of local recovery with in-person events making a come back in Singapore. I do hope this trend continues. We are looking to those another in-person networking event in March so will keep you posted on that one.

In January for our regular monthly meeting, we did a panel on speaker bureau's and it was also our first inter-association networking.

The recording as usual is to be found in the heights platform. We are looking into more collaboration with other associations to bring the best of the region to each other. 

The mentoring program is off to a very strong start with a record number of 30 mentor and 59 mentees making it historically one of the largest

such mentoring runs ever held in APSS and for this, I must thank the tireless work of Avni, Grant and Mark our mentoring committee.

These sessions are our attempt to have a smoother mentoring

experience for all.

As you know our exco began the tradition of doing a shout out to the authors of APSS once a month at our meetings and the Facebook group. If you would like us to post about your new book (should have been released or coming up for release within the last/next 3 months) please hit reply and send up an image, link to the book and some details so we can celebrate your success! 

We have also constituted a special committee to look into the reserves policy of APSS and the funds we currently have. They will make recommendations on the various options we can look into for creating a stronger association.

I am also pleased to share that Irene and her husband welcomed their baby boy (their first - see photo below) and we wish them an amazing journey into parenthood. For those who don't know Irene is our superstar admin support who has been a key member of the association for many years.
