Dear APSS Members,
I hope this message finds you well, thank you to those that could make it to the AGM, a fantastic term executed by President 2024-25, Sha-En Yeo and her energetic team and a huge congratulations to the newly appointed incoming Executive Committee 2025-26. Exciting year ahead!
In light of recent conversations and speculation surrounding the resignation of the National Speakers Association (NSA-US) from the Global Speakers Federation (GSF), I’d like to take a moment to address the matter formally and provide accurate information to ensure clarity and prevent the spread of misinformation within our community.
As Immediate Past President and Board Representative of APSS to the GSF, it is important that our members hear directly from leadership rather than through unofficial channels.
Please be assured that:
- The GSF remains strong, unified, and fully committed to its global mission. NSA’s decision to resign is their own and does not affect APSS’s standing or participation in the Federation.
- The official communication from GSF (attached below as a link) states that- NSA’s resignation was based on internal strategic alignment and the evolving needs of their members.
- NSA was officially a member of GSF until 31 July 2025, and NSA members are still welcome to attend GSF events, including the Global Speakers Summit, as individual participants.
- The Certified Speaking Professional (CSP®) designation remains fully accessible via APSS and other GSF-approved associations. NSA’s resignation does not affect our ability to confer or support the CSP® program.
- For those holding or applying for CSP® through NSA, this process also remains open, though non-NSA members may be subject to different application fees.
You may access the official FAQ document issued by GSF for full transparency and detailed responses to common questions. This was first released in April 2025, and it is available HERE.
I would like to thank all who have brought up your questions with sincerity and in the spirit of community care. If you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out directly to me or the APSS Executive Committee.
Thank you for your continued commitment to APSS and our values of professionalism, collaboration, and integrity.
Warm regards,
Arishta Khanna
