MUSIC SUBSCRIPTION LIST by Arthur Song Wei Jet

This will change the way you think about sound, forever!

Most of my favourite experiences at music festivals tend to have one thing in common. Something- and I think I can say this with complete conviction- that every single festival goer partakes in that leaves them wide-eyed after experiencing it.

Immersive experiences.

Exhibit A: Mo:Dem Festival, Croatia. For those of you that have been there, you’ll know what I’m talking about, for those that haven’t, the setting alone is RIDICULOUS and worth going for.

The forest is super lush, and to top it off there is this turquoise blue stream running through the festival grounds. What more could you ask for!?

Apparently this is what the festival organizers have asked themselves too, so on top of the drop dead gorgeous festival site they’ve one-upped themselves and gone ALL OUT on festival stages and décor (a common occurrence since 2017).

ABSOLUTE INSANITY.

And I know what you’re thinking, “is he selling tickets/playing at Mo:Dem wtf is going on”. Unfortunately, no…

I am, however, telling you this story about this incredible festival and the immersive spaces within it, because I want to now ask you this- what would you need to do to create a track that felt just as mind blowing and immersive as these types of physical spaces?

What would your music sound like if it were able to not only grab, but HOLD the attention of everyone that interacts with it?

These are questions I answer in my latest online course, "This Will Change The Way You Think About Sound (Module 1)".

This first module is really, a conceptual one. What you WON’T be getting (for now) are the exact techniques of how I design my sounds or arrange my tracks (that will be covered in the rest of the course I will be releasing).

If you are looking for a step-by-step guide on how to use Ableton, you won’t find that here.

You WILL however, have an extra dimension added to how you look at sound and begin hearing AND thinking about music differently!

A current student of mine who has just gone through this introductory portion of the full course put it succinctly:

“…I’m hearing music differently to be honest…awesome to have been doing music for so long [a decade now] and to have an extra dimension added to it”.

IMHO, this introductory course is a crucial first step, as it covers an overview of the philosophy behind WHY I make the decisions I make when I demonstrate the sound design/arrangement/composition techniques in later modules, and will allow you to be able to apply it to any DAW.

And frankly, a big reason why I’ve created this intro course is because I want you to get the most out of our time together! Understanding the conceptual will not only help you view sound through a new lens, but also allow you to apply the practical tools I demonstrate in the rest of the course MORE EFFECTIVELY.

Rick Rubin says:

“Our thoughts, feelings, processes, and unconscious beliefs have an energy that is hidden in the work. This unseen, unmeasurable force gives each piece its magnetism. A completed project is only made up of our intention and our experiments around it. Remove intention and all that’s left is the ornamental shell.”

This introductory course will create a solid INTENTIONAL foundation, that will serve as the bedrock for all our experiments moving forward- without it, the techniques shown in the rest of the course will be reduced to mere ‘ornamental shells’.

Practically speaking, it’ll just mean that you have a deeper understanding of the techniques demonstrated that other’s won’t, but also, I can’t cover everything I do in the DAW in an hour, but I CAN give you a glimpse into my philosophies and thinking behind ALL of my decisions.

If you choose to get this introductory course first, I will be giving you a MASSIVE discount when I release the full course.

A)   As a thank you for trusting the process and

B)   because honestly, with all the intention in the world (as Rubin spoke of), without actionable steps that ‘intention’ will forever live in the ether and never materialize into anything tangible, and I want you to get the most out of this course, and that involves seeing it to completion!

If you’re at all interested in this topic, but maybe you’re not sure that you want to get the full course later on, I really recommend getting this introductory course first anyway to have a feel for it.

If you do choose to continue on with the rest of the material when it’s available, I guarantee you will begin seeing sound (and your possibilities as a music producer) in a new light. On top of that, you will be armed with the practical tools, techniques and structures to propel you forward and get you to where you want to be.

Just a heads up, once the full course is launched, I will be removing the introductory one off my Gumroad (the website where you can get this course) and combining it with the rest of the material to be sold at full price.

For now, and if you’ve read this far, here is the link to grab the introductory course today.

I look forward to seeing you in there soon, !
