UPS earnings were down a little, so they could work on doing more business, but the easier solution is just to pass their loss on to you!

From the UPS Q1 earnings report:

UPS announced first-quarter 2024 consolidated revenues of $21.7 billion, a 5.3% decrease from the first quarter of 2023.

Only $21.7 billion, that surely means we should charge more! But don't worry, analysts are expecting their profit to rise 20% - 30% in the second half of 2024. Thanks to dipping their hands further into our coin purses.

How The New ARedStore Mitigates Shipping Charges

We try to keep the shipping as low as possible for you, using four methods:

1. Multiple shipping locations to reduce the shipping distance.(savings: depends on the order location, but overall about 3%)
2. Mixed-rate shipping which is where we use UPS or FedEx to deliver to USPS which then handles the local delivery. (savings: roughly 10%)
3. Flat Rate Boxes are used whenever possible. (savings: 20%)
4. Fulfillment at Production Facilities: This means we have fulfillment centers connected to our printing facilities. This means we don't have to ship from a printer to a warehouse and then ship to you. (savings: 10%)

We are currently not increasing our flat-rate shipping or shipping for flat rate boxes. That means when you order paper goods, like folders, door hangers, or greeting cards, your shipping charges will stay the same.
