According to our research, buyer leads are typically found more often from online methods of marketing, while seller leads are often from referral based marketing efforts.

Though not the case for everyone, generally speaking, focusing on building in-person relationships could lead to more seller leads.

One exception that we did discover is that real estate offices who focus on local-marketing efforts online, such as Google Business Profiles, Google Reviews, and Local SEO, tend to get a larger share of seller leads who do not have a connection to a realtor they already know.
