Monday Message
Good morning ANP,
I have been watching football play-offs all weekend. So, I am going to use a football term in my message to make a point about business and the marketing tool known as networking. When the leader of the football team breaks the huddle all 11 players on the team understand the plan or play to be executed. As the quarterback steps up to the line of scrimmage, he may notice a change in the defense he did not previously see. As the leader he calls an audible. This means a change in plans. The overall directive is the same, to score and win.
The same thing applies to running a business, marketing and networking. Sometimes we have to think quickly and make a change in order score or win. This happens to me on almost every move I do for a client. We had a plan. We discussed the plan. We prepared to execute the plan. Then something or everything changes. What should we do now. Go home and forget the whole thing? Of course, not! We adapt and we overcome.
The directive has not changed. We recalculate and move forward. We show up! We prepare a 45 second commercial. We make one-to-ones. We actively think of how we can refer another member's business or service, or how we can serve our group to keep it strong.
In short, we continue to do our very best. I believe that is what we expect from ourselves, our partners and our teammates
