A Relaxed & Forward Spring

Hello, my friends, and welcome to the last days of bitter cold in Colorado. I hope. This is the time of year when the prairie is so dead-tan that it feels like the sun will never glow warm again. Spring is a miracle every year, isn't it?

My dog, Mister, and I are almost done hibernating after driving 13,000 miles last year, visiting clients, and giving clinics from the Pacific to the Atlantic. It was a trip that took us even farther than the miles, and I'm writing a book about it. We will travel this year but to fewer places. I worry about our carbon footprint traveling so much these last years and I continue to explore ways to work with my clients with less stress for the horses and the planet. Who knew training in Zoom meetings would be such a success? Sure, there are a few tech hoops to jump but it's like riding. Once you get on it's easier than you think. The online Relaxed & Forward Barn School is a favorite for horses who will tell you they prefer to work from home. The Barn School has a social activity feed, no ads, and is safe from hacking because...

More news... and I am trying to find the humor in it... My Facebook identity was stolen by a man of another race, half my age with dark hair. Apparently, they can't tell us apart, although as usual, I'm the one with the horse. I am locked out of my four business pages, and five group pages. It would be a relief; not having time consumed there is like a vacation, except that it's where I do much of my business. Poof! I have disappeared into thin air, but if you listen on clear nights you can hear me howl at the moon. I'm the one swearing.

Zuckerberg is a genius. Facebook has no live support, only email addresses and they are the worst pen pals you can imagine. They'd be deaf by now if they had to talk to me. Instead, they are winning the debate by not showing up. So smart. I have no recourse; they got me!

I do want to be clear. I am hacked, and not in Facebook jail. That's what happens if I get hold of Zuckerberg.

For now, find me on my website or at The R&F Barn School. If you used to read my blog on Facebook, you can subscribe here. Thanks for sticking with me.

If I still had an Author page, you would know I'm producing an audible version of my first book, the memoir, Stable Relation. I hired a narrator because the dogs won't stop barking, and right now I am having the bizarre experience of listening to my book being read to me, one chapter at a time. This week a chapter came that I'd forgotten I'd written. It was a laugh riot, but that could be a sure sign that I have gone over the ridge with cabin fever.

So please, Hurry Spring! Best wishes for curry combs getting busy and dryer lint traps working extra shifts. Let the hair fly, let the sun come back for longer days, and best wishes from our farm to you.
