Greetings dear Chroniclers,

Spooky season is upon us! So I thought I'd share some of my favorite Japanese ghosts from one of the best English resources Matthew Meyer's yokai.com.

The first is fudakaeshi, a ghost who tempts people to remove the protective ofuda/charms on their homes. And the second is the yuurei, the spirit of a person who could not pass on to the heavenly afterlife and is stuck in the material world.

His art is amazing for each of these yokai. I chose ones that weren't too scary and were safe for work, so I hope you enjoy the article recommendations!
