[AWV🦊] Spooky season means more short stories

Salutations dear Chroniclers,
Where I live, fall has arrived. The leaves are turning. And the Japan trip is coming up soon! I can't wait!
Spooktober Short Stories and Maybe More...
Each October, World Anvil (the world building platform I like to use) hosts a Spooktober challenge where we have themed prompt words to create an article for (writing, drawing, etc.).
This month and next month are super busy. But I really want to complete the challenge. (Who doesn't like shiny badges?) It feels good to just free write new short stories. Some may be spooky, some may not. I'm hoping to draw a bit too.
Feel free to follow along on the article linked below. New stories and/or art will be posted there as often as I am able.

Obligatory Ferret and Fishy Updates
Pocky licks his chops after a dried chicken treat. He'd always like more chicken! (Or salmon oil.)
SHRIMP UPDATE: It's fun and relaxing to watch all the baby shrimp. But the numbers are growing so fast! The day that the shrimp outgrow their small tank is approaching. Luckily, my local pet store had half off on aquariums! So I'm cycling the new 20 gallon tank upgrade. I've wanted to put in some schooling fish with my shrimp and allow my betta to be in a bigger tank too. This size will allow for both.
What do I do with my two smaller aquariums? I'm still pondering and open to suggestions. Current thoughts include: using them to grow plants and keep the snails there or empty them and put my orchids in the tanks.
