I'm excited for the upcoming the release of CHARMED BY A WILY LASS on April 9th!
A murder mystery, a reluctant viscount, and an irresistible woman who challenges him at every turn...
Chapter One
Fifth June 1819
“Why the devil did you purchase a sapphire ring?” Kenneth Davenport mused aloud, noting the date on the invoice from Phillip’s Jewelry Store happened to be one day prior to his brother’s death.
Alfred, the seventh Viscount Berwick had perished in his bed nearly a fortnight ago, thus rendering Kenneth the eighth viscount. The attending physician had deemed the cause of death asphyxia brought on by intoxication, which was further confirmed by the coroner. But Kenneth believed differently. Not that Alfred didn’t enjoy his liquor. Quite the contrary. However, the former viscount wasn’t merely one-and-thirty, he had been fit and well in control of his faculties. Alfred had a passion for horse racing and had acquired the Kiedler Equine Estate in northern England, one of the foremost horse training facilities in the Kingdom. He was an accomplished rider and could handle a team as well as any coachman running the mail up the Great North Road. The former viscount had been shrewd, determined, and imposing.
Seated at his brother’s writing table, which was now Kenneth’s writing table, strategically placed by the south-facing window to take best advantage of daylight, he set the invoice for the sapphire ring onto the pile deemed “of interest” opposed to the pile which was not. He then tugged the bell pull...

A Highland Knight's Desire is FREE for a few days only!
This book won a Kindle Scout publishing contract and is one of my favorites!
In 15th century Scotland, Sir Duncan rushes to rescue Lady Meg from the clutches of the Earl of Northumberland. As they risk life and limb to make their escape, the brawny knight is knocked off guard by the sassy redheaded lass. And aye, the tall, dark and rugged Highlander challenges Meg’s piety with his every stare.
Duncan must return Meg to her family and collect his bounty before the lass further sinks her wiles into his heart. But Meg’s kidnapper is brewing revenge. If Northumberland’s ruse is not exposed, Meg may end up becoming a nun, and Duncan a pawn in a deadly game.

News Flash! I've been doing some audiobook narrating 😁
This has been quite the rabbit hole, but after I set up a "recording studio" in what was once the cold room for hanging meat in my Victorian house, I recorded my first audiobook. I started with something easy, a novella with only English characters to keep the number of accents to a minimum.
I admit, the learning curve was steep. And after THE DUKE'S SECRET LONGINGS was finished and passed Amazon's quality checks, I realized that I needed to make a few changes before I started in on the second novella, HIGHLAND KNIGHT OF DREAMS... which I've now finished and is presently in the queue for quality approval.
If you'd like to listen to a sample of THE DUKE'S SECRET LONGINGS, you can find it wide:

Audible: https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Dukes-Secret-Longings-Audiobook/B0CXTW5K2Y
I will let you know when HIGHLAND KNIGHT OF DREAMS is available. I think you'll really like that one!
Until then, happy reading!
