Forced to live with one foot on each side of organizational dynamics, often the middle role is the go-between in the micro and macro of work.

If you aspire to more authority, this can be frustrating. If you just want to punch the clock, you might find it easy to ignore the awkward position you're in.

Either way, mindset rules supreme. Are you using your unique skills set to leverage what you know to do your job better? Or, are you wallowing in self-pity that your efforts are going unnoticed by others?

Circumstances aside, you and only you control your attitude and mindset. Don't forget that. Adopting a mindset that empowers you, regardless of your level of authority, ensures freedom and opportunity around every corner. Inspire yourself; don't wait for others to do it for you.
