Becoming evermore content with doing less

This is a very popular time for New Year's Resolutions. However, this year, my social media feeds are eerily void of resolution posts. Either I have changed my following habits OR we are all collectively recognizing that the turn of a new year is not necessarily the best time to flaunt our goals and dreams. In what now marks year 3 of a global pandemic, I think we are all just a bit overwhelmed at all of it. I know I am.
But, I also do know that setting my intentions for the next year is an important part of achieving my goals. And, goals, in and of themselves are not a bad thing. They can be incredibly helpful in planning your next moves in life and career. They can also catalyze changes that we need to make to benefit ourselves and others.
My goal for 2022 is to become evermore content with doing less. In fact, to become an expert at choosing to spend my time wisely for me and not for others' expectations of me. It means practically culling at least half of my project list. (That’ll mean working on 9 projects instead of 21 in my immediate future. See my problem?!?)
My toughest critic is myself so I will be working hard on myself to get over it and let go of the excess that doesn’t serve me. Not a resolution per say, just an intention to understand myself better and to let go of the things that are holding back my ability to focus and do fewer things better.
