It reminded me of something very personal.

Recently, my baby fell on the floor.

I’ve seen what many parents do in that moment.

They smack the floor and say, “Naughty floor!”

It may seem harmless, but I believe it teaches a dangerous lesson early on —

that when something goes wrong, it’s always the fault of external circumstances.

I don’t believe in that.

Instead, when my child falls, we laugh.

And here’s the interesting part — when we laugh together with her, she almost always ends up laughing too.

Not because pain doesn’t matter — but because fear shouldn’t be the first lesson.

I want her to grow up knowing that failure is normal.

Failure is safe.

Failure is not something to be scared of.

Failure is the mother of success.

The more times she falls, the faster she learns.

And learning should feel joyful, not shameful.

That’s the kind of mindset I want to raise her with — in life, in learning, and eventually, in everything she does.
