Ba wo ni, ?

Happy December to you and yours!

It is officially count down to 2024 *throws balloons in the air*

Let's kick-off with today's gist...

"I have seen, seen, the end of CUALA..."🎵

That is the song, my dear husband sang for me when I finally handed over the baton to the newly elected CUALA Vice President, Corporate Communication *laughs out loud*

See eh, if you don't plan to be a good leader, don't be one at all!

Good leadership takes sacrifices, sweat and a service heart to truly lead anyone, talkless of a community.

I learned a lot in my 2-year tenure for my university alumni association, Covenant University Alumni Association, which officially ended last weekend.

I honestly would not trade the experiences and the lessons I learned while serving my alumni community - it was priceless.

If I dare say, I learned a whole lot in 2 years about leadership than I ever did while in the corporate world.

Maybe it's because this was a volunteer role + an organization that I am invested in, as per my alumni.

It was a stressful and stretchy experience, but worth it *smiles*

Genuinely wishing my successor a fruitful and fulfilling tenure...I trust she would do exceptionally well for our Eagle community *purple heart*

In other news, your girl's second TEDx Talk, which she did in November 20th, 2021 (2 years later), finally made it to the TEDx YouTube platfrom *humbled*

A few weeks ago, during my weekly accountability session, one of my growth friends, Folakemi Odesola asked me this profound question:

"What have you achieved this year, Nnenna?"

I was stuck for about 2 minutes...thinking hard about what I have proudly achieved this year, but I couldn't think of one.

Folakemi wouldn't have it and started counting the "great things" I have done this year *laughs* I didn't see them as significant as all my perfect-laid plans for 2023 didn't come to light as God had other plans.

The next day, I got an email from TEDx Ajao Estate that my TEDx talk was finally approved and uploaded on TEDx YouTube. I shed a happy tear and said "Well this one is a significant 2023 win." *sniff*

You can watch my 2nd TEDx Talk on Tourism Funding HERE. Kindly like, leave a comment and share. Thank you, *smiles*

"GOD's ways are not our ways" - Isaiah 55:8

2023 was a tough year for me, not just because it didn't go as well as I planned, .

But because I had to learn the act of "Being STILL" my watch word for 2023, which was really hard as I am an energy bunny *laughs*

Despite it all, I learned A LOT about myself - my strengths, weaknesses and opportunities. I am grateful for 2023 and its amazing lessons and looking forward to 2024 *smiles*

As as hang my CUALA VP boots, and prepare to wrap up 2023...

I pray for God's grace and wisdom to plan ahead for 2024.

And I pray same for you, *claps hands in prayer*

Till my next love e-letter, don't forget...

Life is short, live it to the fullest, .

Ka o di....e-see you soon *waves*

Your Wanderluster,
