Na Aunty Oprah Winfrey be one of my major inspirations for starting the Tourism Women Luncheon. Honestly, na her fault, o! *laughs*

Here is the behind-the-scenes story...

In 2017, discovered Oprah Winfrey's Legend Ball which was held in May 2006.

Oprah shared a weekend with a select group of Legends—the women who paved the way for her generation, and "young'uns", those who had also benefited from these Legends' trailblazing actions. She called it her Legends Weekend.

, I spent most of the whole day watching the ball and researching how Aunty Oprah organized such a beauty event.

I even shared it with my dear friend, Folakemi Odesola...and since then she has been reminding me for years to host mine *smiles*

Like Ophrah, my dream is to create an intimate safe space for young women to connect and bond with trailblazing women who have paved the way for us in the Tourism industry, especially in Africa.
