Na Aunty Oprah Winfrey be one of my major inspirations for starting the Tourism Women Luncheon. Na she cause am, o! *laughs*

Here is the behind-the-scenes story...

In 2017, I bumped into Oprah Winfrey's Legend Ball which was held in May 2006.

Oprah shared a weekend with a select group of Legends—the women who paved the way for her generation— and"young'uns"—those who had also benefited from the Legends' trailblazing actions. She called it her Legends Weekend. See a picture of her with her guests *star eyes*

, I spent almost the whole day watching the ball and researching how Aunty Oprah organized such a beauty event.

I even shared it with my dear friend, Folakemi Odesola...and she kept reminding me for years to host mine *smiles*

Like Ophrah, I want to create an intimate safe space for young women to connect with trailblazing women who have paved the way for us in the Tourism industry especially in Africa.
